FOR THE INTERSTATE 78 CORRIDOR NORTHWARD...
DEPENDING ON LOCATION, A THIRD OR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE DAY OF 90 DEGREE
TEMPERATURES WILL OCCUR THIS AFTERNOON FOR MUCH OF EAST CENTRAL
PENNSYLVANIA THROUGH CENTRAL AND NORTHERN NEW JERSEY.
THE HEAT INDEX WILL RISE TO BETWEEN 90 AND 95 DEGREES THIS AFTERNOON
FROM READING, ALLENTOWN AND TRENTON, NORTHWARD INTO THE POCONOS
AND VIRTUALLY OF NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY. THE CUMULATIVE DAILY IMPACT
OF HOT EARLY SEASON TEMPERATURES MAY HAVE AN ADVERSE EFFECT UPON
THE ELDERLY AND CHILDREN WITH RESPIRATORY AILMENTS.
STAY HEALTHY THIS AFTERNOON BY WEARING LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING...
DRINKING COOLING NON ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES...WORKING OR RESTING IN
THE SHADE OR BETTER YET...BEING IN AIR CONDITIONED COMFORT.
